Business Analyst
Job Title: Business Analyst
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 Months (extensions likely until October 2026)
Location: Hybrid, Edinburgh 3 days on-site
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
This role sits within a major transformation programme modernising digital customer engagement via a new portal solution and upgrading the sign-up journey. A central role in translating business requirements into actionable solutions, data analysis and reviewing business processes to enable technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document existing and future-state business processes (BPM L1L5)
- Facilitate requirement workshops and discovery sessions with business users
- Translate business requirements into detailed documentation supporting acceleration of technical design documents
- Perform data analysis, create data dictionaries, and visualise migration findings
- Own and lead cohorting and data analysis approach for data migration project
- Collaborate with developers to validate requirements and ensure solution alignment
- Support RAID, defect management, and UAT execution
- Drive business readiness, ensuring all stakeholders are prepared for cutover
- Track and report on realisation post-implementation
Required Skills:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst
- Financial services pensions experience
- Data analysis & modelling ability
- Data migration project experience
- Familiarity with BPM methodologies, Agile delivery & SDLC
Desired Skills:
- Experience in portal system delivery or project re-start / transition planning
- Experienced in PEGA, Sapiens (SCM) & BTS Pension Services
