We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Specialist to support a telephony transformation programme, transitioning from a legacy voice platform to Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice.
This role will play a key part in shaping the high-level and detailed design (HLD/DLD) of the new telephony solution, ensuring it is scalable, secure and aligned to business and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, network and collaboration teams, contributing to the design and implementation of a modern, cloud-based communication platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice solutions, focusing on telephony migration from legacy platforms
- Produce high-level and detailed design documentation (HLD / DLD) to define the target-state architecture
- Define call routing, dial plans and telephony integration within Teams environments
- Assess and align legacy telephony platforms (e.g. OpenScape Voice) with future-state cloud-based solutions
- Work with Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and telephony hardware to support solution design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate design decisions and technical approach
- Support early-stage planning and transition into delivery phases
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience designing Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice solutions
- Proven experience producing HLD and DLD documentation within enterprise environments
- Experience designing telephony migration solutions (legacy → Teams)
- Strong understanding of call routing, dial plans and telephony architecture
- Experience working with Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
- Ability to work in early-stage, fast-paced design engagements with multiple stakeholders
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with OpenScape Voice or similar legacy telephony platforms
- Experience delivering telephony or unified communications transformation programmes
- Exposure to cloud-based collaboration platforms and Microsoft 365 ecosystems
