Role: Oracle Xstore Developer

Our client is looking for an Xstore developer to join their retail technology programme focused on enhancing point-of-sale (POS) experiences through customization and integration work. This role involves designing and maintaining advanced POS solutions to support checkout, loyalty, and omnichannel capabilities across a large store estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Oracle Xstore POS modules and Java-based services
• Integrate POS with ERP, CRM, loyalty, and payment systems
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to transactions, device connectivity, and system performance
• Configure Xstore security roles, parameters, and device profiles
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and deployment artifacts
• Collaborate with QA teams on test plans and defect resolution
• Support rollout activities, including pilot testing, deployment Scripting, post-go-live support

Skills & Experience Required:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience developing in Oracle Xstore POS (version 18 or higher preferred)
• Strong Java, XML, Oracle DB, and WebLogic development skills
• Experience integrating store devices: printers, scanners, pin pads
• Familiarity with retail store operations, pricing, promotions, and tax handling
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps tools (eg, JIRA, Git, Jenkins)
