Job Title: IT Programme Manager
Contract Type: Contract, Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 Months (Dec – May)
Location: 3 days on-site in Ipswich + International Travel (expenses paid)
You’ll lead the successful delivery of strategic programmes that transform operations and customer experiences across a travel portfolio. This role provides strategic oversight and ensures measurable value across technology and business change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clearly define and deliver programmes aligned to business strategy
- Establish objectives, scope, KPIs, and success measures
- Report progress to executive stakeholders
- Oversee program planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple projects
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
- Control risks, issues, and dependencies effectively
- Uphold governance and quality standards
- Build strong relationships with internal & external industry partners
- Lead steering committees and programme boards
- Ensure timely communication and decision-making
- Work with internal and third-party technical teams to ensure seamless implementation
- Oversee vendor performance, contracts, and service levels
- Drive digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement
- Oversee change management, communication, and training to embed new ways of working
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of IT programme management in travel / transport / hospitality
- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-stream transformations
- Strong financial control, commercial acumen, and governance skills
- Excellent communication and leadership capability
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Tourism, or Information Systems
Desirable :
- PRINCE2 / MSP / Agile certification
- Experience with cruise industry systems / industry relationships
- Master’s degree / MBA in Strategy, Operations, or Project Management
