A forward-thinking technology organisation is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join their engineering team working on highly scalable platforms built around modern microservice architecture.

You will be working in a collaborative engineering environment where strong software engineering principles, testing culture, and modern DevOps practices are central to how the team delivers software.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality frontend applications using React and Typescript
• Work within a microservices-based architecture alongside backend engineers
• Contribute to test-driven development and maintain high code quality
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in agile teams
• Support continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practices

Essential Skills:

• Live, transferrable SC Clearance
• Strong experience with React
• Commercial experience with Typescript
• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or other SQL databases
• Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
• Experience working with test-driven development and modern testing frameworks

Desirable Skills:

• API specification standards such as Swagger / OpenAPI
• Gradle build tooling
• Database migration tooling such as Liquibase
• Event streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Java or Spring Boot experience
