IT Technical Support Officer (Fintech)

Up to £35,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing FinTech company transforming the payments space! Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a technical support specialist with strong API knowledge and a proactive approach to provisioning and application support. This role is critical to ensuring seamless integration and exceptional customer experience across SaaS payment solutions.

As the first point of contact for technical queries, you will troubleshoot complex issues, assist with API integrations, and manage provisioning tasks to ensure customers are onboarded efficiently and systems are configured correctly.

Key Responsibilities of the Payments Support Officer to include:

  • Provisioning: Set up and configure customer environments, ensuring all technical requirements are met for smooth onboarding.
  • API Support: Assist clients with REST/SOAP API integrations, authentication (OAuth), and troubleshooting using tools like Postman.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve application issues, leveraging log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk) and forensic data.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide clear, professional guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ticket Management: Log, track, and resolve support cases within SLA timelines using JIRA or similar platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Maintain and update technical documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base.

Requirements for the successful Payments Support Officer:

  • Minimum 1 year in a technical support or application support role.
  • Experience with provisioning systems and SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and API security best practices (OAuth, SSL/TLS).
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman, Splunk, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of payment systems or card processing is a plus.
