EPR Cutover Manager

Job summary

This is a senior project management role accountable for the delivery of the projects under their management to the SRO. Reporting to the Programme Director within the MoorConnect (EPR) Programme Management Office the incumbent will deliver projects supported by resources from the EPR vendors, colleagues from Digital Clinical Services, the IT Department and a range of internal departments.

As a Cutover Manager post holder you will be responsible for developing and then managing the Cutover Plan for the EPR Programme, i.e. the plan to transition future state solutions into the live environment and decommission legacy solutions no longer applicable for operational use; to agreed scope, timescales, budget and quality.

Job responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILTITES

  • Create a cutover plan detailing the transition from the legacy systems/ paper toMoorConnectEPR (consisting of bothOpenEyesand Expanse).

  • The plan to detail cutover for, Integration, Infrastructure including security implications, Service Desk, IM/Data Watehouse, Regression Testing, Data Migration/ Data Catch up.

  • Work closely with the operational team, technical and configuration workstreams, data migration, interfacing, informatics, Infrastructure to document detailed steps for cutover.

  • The development and management of a Full-Dress Rehearsal (FDR) Plan.

  • Own and manage the delivery of the Technical Plan during FDR.

  • The development of an Early Life Support plan (ELS).

  • Receive and respond to guidance and instruction from theMoorConnectPMO with respect to PMO standards and practices.

  • Producedetailed project documentationincluding typical PRINCE2 artefacts and project reportsthat meet the needs of Programme Governance Boards.

  • Facilitate Agile effort when appropriate with a formal project management structure.

  • Identify, and manage project risks, assumptions,issuesand dependencies in alignment withMoorConnectPMOprocessesand escalate risks and issues appropriately when necessary.

  • Coordinate work effort to deliver project milestones and productsandmanage change effectively.

  • Use persuasive and motivational skills to influence project team members and participants to ensure successful completion of the project.

  • Keep all interested parties abreast of project progression, or any potential issues, through clear communication.

  • Engage effectively to meet the needs of the PMO to report on progress against schedule, escalation of risks, and escalation of issues.

  • The financial control, within pre-agreed tolerances, of projectsbeing managed andkeep the Programme Manager updated, asrequired,onbudget and forecasts.

  • Ensure all Quality standards related to individual projects are met.

  • Develop agreed work packagesin order tomeet projectmilestones anddeliverproducts on time.

  • Effectively communicate time,qualityand resource constraints to ensure that stakeholders understand their commitment to deliver.

  • Monitoring any assigned sub-contractors to ensure all national and local guidelines are adhered to.

  • Supervise and manage the project teams workload, to ensure successful implementation and completion of the projects.

  • Complete end of project reports and present lessons-learned sessions, tosupport continuous improvement in the project management space.

  • Ensure Privacy Impact Assessments are completed for all projects, thus ensuringthe focus on cyber securitycan be effectivelymaintained.

  • Keep abreast ofTrust programmes and projects and any changes tobusiness strategythat mayimpactthe delivery of the projects under the post holdersmanagement.

  • Any other duties as mayreasonably beconsidered as falling under the remit and responsibilities of this post.

  • Support developmentand implementation ofproject policiesand good governance.

Person Specification

Previous Cutover Management Experience

Essential
  • Electronic Patient Record/EHR: Electronic Health Record cutover experience, including data Migration & Integration.
  • Experienced/Knowledge in developing and managing Full-Dress Rehearsal (FDR) Plan and owning delivery of the Technical Plan during FDR.
  • Proficiency in creating a cutover plan detailing transition from legacy systems to EPR offering, including modules deployment.
Desirable
  • Cutover experience on a MEDITECH Expanse deployment

Project Management Experience

Essential
  • Experience in managing decision and checkpoint calls, and proactive management of project risks and issues, including timely escalation.
  • Successful project management experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools
Desirable
  • Experience using Jira to manage projects

Technical and Data Management knowledge

Essential
  • Knowledge of data migration, data warehouse, and regression testing procedures.
