Finance Systems Analyst

Pentagon Talent have partnered with an award-winning international law firm. This highly respected firm are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Systems Analyst to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performing finance team, providing expert support across core financial systems and playing a key role in system development and optimisation.Reporting to the Finance Systems and Reporting Manager, the Finance Systems Analyst will work closely with the wider finance team and senior stakeholders across the business, ensuring systems are effectively maintained, optimised, and aligned with operational requirements.Key Responsibilities of The Finance System Analyst

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for finance systems, including the core Practice Management System and related financial solutions.
  • Maintain, develop, and test system functionality to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Support upgrades, testing new software versions, and implementing system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and maximise system effectiveness.
  • Generate and maintain accurate custom reports to support finance operations and decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance and operational colleagues on system use.

Required Skills & Experience of The Financial System Analyst

  • Proven experience with Financial Systems and database tools such as SQL and similar programs.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and reporting requirements.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, able to prioritise competing demands.
  • Track record of implementing system upgrades and testing software.
