As part of this evolution, they are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across the organisation.This is a key role that sits at the intersection of business and technology, responsible for designing end-to-end, high-level solution architectures and ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and technical delivery. Unlike a Technical Architect, the Solutions Architect is not expected to have a development or coding background but should bring a holistic understanding of systems integration, stakeholder management, and solution design.Role Purpose The Solutions Architect will lead on the design and definition of enterprise-level solutions, ensuring they are aligned with business goals, technically feasible, and scalable. You will work across multiple projects simultaneously, providing architectural oversight and strategic input while acting as the vital link between business teams, delivery teams, and external partners.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex business needs into coherent solution designs and who has a strong background in working with SaaS platforms and CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and delivery of end-to-end high-level solution designs across a variety of programmes and projects.
- Act as the architectural lead across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring cohesion and strategic alignment.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration between business and IT teams to ensure designs are realistic, scalable, and future-proof.
- Oversee third-party vendors and partners, particularly those providing SaaS platforms, to ensure integration and alignment.
- Contribute to the organisation's architectural principles, standards, and design governance.
- Provide input into procurement, technology selection, and vendor engagement activities.
- Participate in architectural governance processes and support compliance and quality assurance reviews.
- Promote architectural best practices across the delivery lifecycle.
Person Specification Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Solutions Architect, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-level solution designs.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM, including designing solutions that involve complex integrations and workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering solutions involving SaaS platforms and third-party vendors.
- Strong background in creating and communicating end-to-end high-level solution designs.
- Excellent ability to work across business and technical domains, acting as a bridge between stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and design patterns.
- Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
- A pragmatic problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Experience working with other CRMs beyond Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Salesforce platforms such as Experience Cloud, Data Hub, and NPSP.
- Understanding of architecture design in cloud environments, especially Azure.
- Exposure to integration tools such as Informatica IICS or data platforms like Snowflake.
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit or public sector.
