PCB / Cable Assembly Operator

Rochester, Kent

Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturer supplying specialist products to global markets. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a PCB / Cable Assembly Operator to join their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electronics assembly experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble PCB and cable assemblies to required standards
  • Solder surface mount and through-hole components onto PCBs
  • Operate SMT pick-and-place equipment to populate circuit boards
  • Build cable assemblies using soldering and crimping techniques
  • Follow work instructions, diagrams and assembly drawings accurately
  • Maintain high levels of quality and attention to detail
  • Apply approved soldering processes and assembly techniques
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
  • Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in PCB or cable assembly
  • Soldering and crimping experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and diagrams
  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 certification would be advantageous
