Backend Software Engineer Hybrid working 1-2 days per week onsite - Manchester £500-600pd inside IR35 | Start ASAP
Please note: The interview will be held in-person therefore ability to commute to Manchester is essential.
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join a high-performing Revenue Platform engineering team within a global, product-led tech environment. This is a backend-focused role where you'll help build and evolve core services that power large-scale pricing, revenue and transactional systems. You'll be working in a small, collaborative team where ownership, quality and communication really matter.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and maintaining backend services and APIs
- Working across a 50/50 Java and TypeScript stack
- Designing and supporting cloud-based systems in AWS
- Writing clean, testable, production-ready code
- Collaborating closely with engineers through pair programming
- Supporting system reliability, scalability and performance
What we're looking for:
- Strong backend engineering experience
- Solid experience with Java and TypeScript
- Strong API development and system integration skills
- Experience working in AWS environments
- Comfortable with TDD and collaborative engineering practices
- Able to pick up new domains quickly and work in fast-paced teams
Nice to have:
- React exposure (light front-end work)
- DynamoDB / Elasticache strategy knowledge
- Experience with distributed or high-scale systems
