Location: Manchester (Hybrid - approx. 2 days/month onsite for workshops, plus occasional London travel)

Engagement: Initial 6 Month Contract

About the Role

We are partnering with a global e-commerce enterprise as they undertake a large-scale enterprise transformation, migrating their existing SAP ECC landscape to SAP S/4HANA RISE.

We are looking for a Finance-focused Business Analyst who combines deep business process analysis skills with a strong understanding of financial accounting and dataflows. In this role, you will be the key bridge between business stakeholders, architects, and SAP implementation partners, ensuring current state ("As-Is") processes and future state ("To-Be") target models prioritise finance data quality, completeness, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process & Dataflow Mapping: Document and analyse "As-Is" financial processes and system architecture within SAP ECC; design optimised "To-Be" processes aligned with S/4HANA capabilities.

  • Finance Data Quality & Analysis: Focus heavily on end-to-end financial dataflows, validating data quality, completeness, and reporting needs across the migration lifecycle.

  • Requirements & Gap Analysis: Elicit, manage, and translate functional business requirements into clear functional specifications; conduct gap analyses against S/4HANA standard functionality.

  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Facilitate design workshops with global business leads, finance teams, system integrators, and technical architects.

Requirements & Key Skills
  • Financial Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of financial accounting concepts and end-to-end financial dataflows.

  • Business Analysis Mastery: Proven experience in As-Is/To-Be process mapping, requirements elicitation, and functional specifications.

  • SAP Exposure: Solid familiarity with SAP environments (SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA).

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyse financial data, identify risks/gaps, and present structured findings clearly to leadership.

  • Delivery Environment: Experience working across Agile/Hybrid frameworks using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
