DevOps Engineer (C#)
About the Role
We are partnering with a premier, specialized software engineering and technical consultancy that builds mission-critical, data-intensive systems for tier-one banking and financial institutions.
On their behalf, we are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer with a strong C#/.NET development background to bridge the gap between application development and platform reliability. In this role, you will play a critical part in modernizing, supporting, and automating complex enterprise infrastructure across data-intensive financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, automate, and streamline infrastructure across on-premise, virtualized, and legacy environments.
- Read, debug, and troubleshoot application-layer C#/.NET code alongside development teams to maintain system reliability.
- Configure, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Assist with the management and gradual migration of legacy enterprise deployment systems toward modernized pipeline standards.
- Automate IIS server instances, deployment scripts, and deployment infrastructure in highly secure environments.
- Ensure maximum uptime, security compliance, and performance for mission-critical financial and data platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
- Total Experience: 5-10 years across Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps-striking the right balance between solid seniority and hands-on execution.
- C# / .NET Software Background: Strong foundations as a developer with previous hands-on C#/.NET coding experience. You must be comfortable reading, debugging, and tracing application code to resolve deep platform issues.
- On-Premise Infrastructure Focus: Direct experience managing and automating traditional on-premise infrastructure, Windows Server/IIS environments, and virtualized/bare-metal systems.
- CI/CD & Pipeline Tooling: Hands-on experience with build and deployment tools such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins, alongside the adaptability to work with legacy enterprise deployment engines.
