Senior Technical Artist (Unity / VR) | UK Remote
Want to set the visual benchmark for one of the most successful and recognizable VR games in the world?
We are partnering with an industry-leading studio to find a Technical Artist who can perfectly balance top-tier visual fidelity with buttery-smooth VR performance. You will be joining an elite team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in standalone VR.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and optimizing custom hand-written HLSL über-shaders to keep things clean and highly efficient.
- Creating striking visual effects (VFX) for gameplay and UI.
- Improving environment and VFX workflows, utilizing the latest Unity toolsets (VFX Graph, Particle Systems, Timelines, Nested Prefabs).
- Solving complex visual, technical, and performance issues for a globally loved title.
What you need to bring to the table:
- 5+ years of extensive experience with Unity & 2+ years dedicated to a Technical Art role.
- Deep knowledge of Forward & Built-in rendering pipelines.
- Proven experience in Mobile/VR optimizations (getting the most out of standalone hardware).
- Experience creating technical 2D/3D assets in procedural DCC tools.
- Bonus: Strong foundational 3D art skills (textures, meshes, sprite sheets).
The Details: 💰 Compensation: £72,800 - £114,400/year (£35 - £55/hour) + 15% Bonus Entitlement 🗓️ Duration: Long-term contract (running through December 2026) 📍 Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in the UK)
