CHIEF OF STAFF AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

LONDON

PERMANENT ROLE

Role Overview:

Our client, a global leader in the provision of technology solutions for the automotive sector, are seeking a Chief of Staff and Internal Communications Director. Reporting directly to the CEO, this VP level position is a strategic senior leadership role created to amplify the leadership team’s effectiveness and ensure organizational coherence across the business.

The successful candidate will sit at the heart of the company’s operating model — translating executive vision into aligned action, connecting strategy to day-to-day execution, and fostering a culture of transparency and engagement through powerful internal communication.

Acting as a trusted partner and orchestrator, this role ensures the leadership team operates as a high-performing unit, that cross-functional priorities are coordinated with rigor, and that every employee understands the company’s direction, feels informed, and is inspired to contribute.

Key Accountabilities:

Leadership Team Support & Executive Effectiveness:

  • Own the strategic planning cycle: coordinate goal-setting, monitor execution, and surface risks and dependencies to the CEO.
  • Manage critical cross-functional initiatives
  • Ensure decisions made at leadership level are documented, communicated, and acted upon.
  • Prepare the CEO for key meetings: review presentations, and external engagements ensuring clarity, alignment, and impact.

Internal Communication:

  • Develop and lead internal communication strategy: build a coherent narrative connecting company purpose, strategy, and results to employees’ daily work.
  • Design and manage all meetings, town halls, leadership Q&As, and broadcast communications
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to communicate organizational changes, milestones, and cultural initiatives with clarity and empathy.
  • Partner with the EAA Marketing team to amplify key leadership messages, coordinate thought leadership moments, and ensure consistency between internal and external brand narratives.
  • Create and maintain communication channels (On Air & newsletters), rhythms, and content that are engaging, inclusive, and effective across geographies.
  • Measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve reach, tone, and impact.

Strategic Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Track and report on strategic initiatives: build dashboards, run review forums, and escalate when projects drift.
  • Identify misalignments, bottlenecks, or gaps in execution and proactively resolve them — or bring them to the CEO’s attention with recommended solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment across functions on shared goals, resources, and accountability.
  • Support organizational design and change management efforts as the company scales.

About You:

  • Significant relevant professional experience, including exposure to executive environments (strategy, consulting, Chief of Staff, or similar roles).
  • Proven track record of driving organizational alignment and execution in a fast-paced, international setting.
  • Experience designing and leading internal communication programs at scale.
  • Background in tech, SaaS or similar is a strong plus.
