Business Analyst - M & A - Integration
Contract Business Analyst - £550 to 600 per day (Inside IR35 - paid through an umbrella)- Stevenage &/or Warwick & possible other sites (Expenses for some travel).- Understanding of business support functions such as SHEQ (Health & Safety), Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Property & Fleet - (domain experience across at least three of these).- Full UK licence is essential - must be able to start by the 10th of November - so one week notice or less essential. As a Business Analyst supporting an acquisition programme, you will play a key role in analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and enabling the successful integration of systems, people, and operations between the acquiring and acquired organisations. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure that solutions deliver the intended business outcomes and support strategic goals.Key Deliverables:
- Analyse and document current and future-state business processes across both organisations.
- Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of business change resulting from the acquisition.
- Elicit and translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with technical teams and partners to ensure solutions meet business requirements and deliver a seamless user experience.
- Support integration planning across systems, data, and operations
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
- Support system testing, UAT, and training activities to ensure readiness for go-live.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and execution, ensuring alignment with acquisition timelines.
- Liaise with PMO, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery.
What will you bring:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on acquisition, merger, or large-scale transformation programmes
- Familiarity working in an IT systems team is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of business support functions such as SHEQ (Health & Safety), Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Property & Fleet.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping, change impact assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Professional qualification such as the International Diploma in Business Analysis (BCS) or equivalent.
- Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work across multiple business domains and manage competing priorities.
