AV Technician

Morris Sinclair are currently working with a professional services organisation that’s investing heavily in its AV infrastructure and is looking to bring on a skilled AV Engineer / Technician to join their team in Edinburgh.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a rotating shift pattern, supporting a range of internal meetings, client-facing events, and hybrid conferences. You’d be the go-to AV contact on site, ensuring meeting rooms and event spaces are fully set up, tested, and running smoothly.

The role is very hands-on and includes:
  • Supporting meetings, webinars, and live/hybrid events
  • Setting up and operating AV equipment (displays, microphones, VC systems, control panels)
  • Troubleshooting issues quickly and calmly in live environments
  • Supporting streaming, recording, and post-event media tasks
  • Working closely with IT and Facilities teams on system rollouts and multi-site events
  • Carrying out daily “ready for business” checks to ensure spaces are fully operational
  • Assisting with room and furniture setups where required

They’re looking for someone with solid AV experience in a corporate or professional environment, strong knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex), and familiarity with control systems such as Crestron or Extron. Good communication skills and a proactive, service-focused mindset are essential.

The role is based in Edinburgh five days a week, with shifts typically falling between 7:00am and 7:00pm, plus occasional evening support and some travel to other UK offices when needed.
