Director of Information Technology

Position Summary

The IT Director of Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, and operations of enterprise and customer-facing applications across multiple regional business units. This role ensures that platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational growth, while collaborating closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive innovation in application management, integrations, and automation across corporate and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with IT leadership to assess both current and future technology needs, influence strategic decision-making, and develop initiatives that support long-term business goals. This includes evaluating operational environments, ensuring business continuity, and maintaining high standards for application delivery and availability.

This position requires strong business acumen and the ability to effectively engage with executives and key stakeholders across diverse teams and regions to ensure consistent and high-quality IT service delivery.

Profile

A seasoned IT leader (10+ years) with extensive experience managing enterprise application environments, cloud platforms, identity and access management (IAM)—particularly OKTA—Atlassian administration, and third-party integrations. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with a strong track record of maintaining reliable and efficient application operations within complex, multi-site business settings.

Key Focus Areas

• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing, customer-centric application engineering team.
• Automation & AI: Drive workflow automation initiatives, ScriptRunner solutions, and AI-enabled productivity programs.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Provide regional leadership for AWS and Azure environments, emphasizing scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
• Governance & Compliance: Partner with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to all relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
• Application Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the regional applications roadmap in alignment with overall business and IT objectives.
• Enterprise Applications & Integrations: Oversee enterprise application ecosystems and key business unit application platforms.
• Identity & Access Management: Lead OKTA administration and manage complex integrations across numerous corporate and customer platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years of proven IT leadership experience in enterprise application management, systems support, integrations, and deployments.
• Hands-on expertise in OKTA administration, Auth0, Active Directory, and M365 tenant management.
• Proficiency with Atlassian ecosystem administration.
• Strong background in RPA and process automation tools (e.g., ScriptRunner).
• Experience managing cloud environments and service providers (AWS, Azure), as well as BI and data platforms (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Databricks).
• Familiarity with enterprise collaboration platforms (Slack, Teams, Google Workspace).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams effectively.
