Head of Risk & Compliance – FinTech | London (Hybrid, 2–3 days office)
Are you a hands-on risk and compliance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments?
This FinTech is scaling rapidly and looking for a Head of Risk & Compliance to take ownership of the 2nd line to strengthen enterprise risk across the group
You’ll work closely with senior leadership team to enhance a mature framework and drive improvement of cadence, quality, and embedding a culture of proactive risk management as the business expands.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and evolving the Group Risk and Compliance Framework , ensuring effective governance and alignment with business objectives.
- Driving enterprise risk management across all entities, improving RCSAs, monitoring KRIs, and embedding a consistent rhythm of reporting and assurance.
- Managing and executing the Group assurance plan , including internal risk and compliance reviews, and coordinating external audit activity.
- Supporting in regulatory engagement and oversight of UK requirements, ensuring the FinTech stays aligned with FCA expectations and evolving regulations.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear, practical guidance that supports commercial goals while maintaining compliance integrity.
Apply if you have
- Strong experience in risk management and regulatory compliance within FCA regulated businesses
- Background spanning both 1st and 2nd line risk , with evidence of hands-on delivery, not just oversight.
- Exposure to enterprise risk frameworks , assurance programmes, and regulatory change.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging at senior level and with regulators.
