Location - Coventry / Hybrid

Salary - £60K - 2 Year FTC

My client is the UK’s largest gas distribution network. They require a hands-on IT Project Manager running technology/change projects within their delivery framework.

This is a hands-on IT Project Manager running technology/change projects end to end within a delivery framework. This is Not a strategy seat, it's a delivery seat with real budget and vendor accountability.

Scope of the position:-

• Plan and deliver IT projects from initiation to closure — scope, plan, critical path, budget, risk, closure/lessons learned.
• Budget accountability circa £1m
• Leads cross-functional and vendor/augmented teams
• Manage change control, risk/issue escalation, and stakeholder communication as primary point of contact.

Ideal IT Project Manager:-

• Genuine IT/technology project delivery track record — owning delivery end to end, not just coordinating. £1m scale budgets and formal governance.
• PRINCE2 / APM / PMP (or equivalent) and comfort flexing across waterfall and Agile/hybrid.
• Vendor and augmented-team management — To have led mixed permanent + third-party/offshore delivery teams.
• Financial control discipline — budget vs forecast, finance-surgery-style reporting.
• Stakeholder presence with drive

Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, PRINCE2 all referenced.

Qualifications: Degree-level plus PMP / PRINCE2. 3–10 years of relevant delivery experience.
