0365 Technical Engineer (Security)

Morson have a great opportunity for a O365 specialist with a background in the E5 product suite with particular experience with Defender and Microsoft Sentinel

The 0ffice 365/Security Specialist is responsible for engineering, secure operation, continuous improvement and technical ownership of the Council's server estate, Microsoft 365 services, identity services, backup platforms, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and related cyber security tooling, ensuring high levels of availability, resilience, performance and protection.

Contribute to the cost-effective operation of Microsoft 365 and associated infrastructure services, supporting licence optimisation and value for money.
Provide technical support and engineering expertise across Microsoft platform, cloud and security technologies.

Implement, administer, optimise and continuously improve cyber security controls across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, endpoint management and on-premises platforms, including threat protection, alert investigation, policy tuning, endpoint protection and integration with wider Microsoft security services.
