Data Architect – D365 / Dataverse / Azure / Digital – London - £80,000

A fast-growing PE backed Media organisation is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, documentation, and governance of its evolving data landscape. This role is pivotal in defining end-to-end data architecture, establishing standards, and ensuring scalability across multiple business sectors.

You will be responsible for creating comprehensive data models, flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation, while providing guidance to engineering teams on best practices for data integration and storage. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure that architectural initiatives align with commercial objectives and delivery timelines. The Data Architect will also be accountable for establishing and enforcing data governance, security, and compliance standards including GDPR and for laying the groundwork for future data science and machine learning initiatives.

This position is primarily focused on design and documentation, with minimal to no hands-on engineering. Experience working within fast-paced, evolving environments that incorporate both legacy and modern data sources are essential.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a Data Architect role within a Microsoft technology stack
• Experience designing and managing data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including data pipelines, lakehouses, and integration with Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power BI.
• Strong expertise in data modelling, database design (SQL and NoSQL)
• Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure (required)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
