Product Manager – Open Banking & Payments
Location: London/ Leeds Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Open Banking Product Manager to own and develop their AIS and PIS capabilities. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the platform’s technical capabilities—including APIs, consent management and integrations. Ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
The mission is to drive the bank's Open Banking proposition forward, moving from compliance-led delivery to creating genuine customer and commercial value. You will identify opportunities to enhance offerings across payments and deposits for both retail and infrastructure clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Open Banking roadmap, moving beyond compliance to drive commercial value.
- Monitor platform performance and lead incident management alongside Engineering teams and external partners.
- Partner with Engineering on API design and authentication flows to ensure solutions are scalable and secure.
- Ensure strict adherence to Open Banking standards, maintaining strong controls and audit readiness.
- Work cross-functionally across Engineering, Risk and Compliance to deliver customer-ready solutions.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience with Open Banking (AIS & PIS).
- Deep technical understanding of API architecture and authentication integrations.
- Proven track record of delivering Open Banking solutions within a UK regulated environment.
- A collaborative approach with a focus on ownership and operational excellence.
