RAD Developer

RAD Developer - C#, Excel, VBA, SQL, Front Office, Financial Instruments, Trading Systems, London - 4 days a week in office

A leading global hedgefund is seeking an experienced RAD Developer to join their Front Office RAD Technology team in London. In this role, you'll work directly with traders and risk teams to design and deliver high-impact trading desk tools, ranging from rapid risk reports to full trading workflow and scenario systems. You'll be responsible for building pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions with a strong focus on time to market, reusability, and business value.

This is an exciting opportunity to operate in a highly visible Front Office environment, gaining cross-asset exposure while delivering solutions that are directly utilised and valued by senior trading stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you would need the following:
Strong programming experience in C#, Excel, VBA and SQL
At least 10+ years' experience across Finance and Technology, ideally within Front Office development
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Instruments such as Fixed Income or Derivatives
Experience building reusable library components and working within structured development frameworks
Confidence working across the full software development life cycle with a focus on delivery
Familiarity with Python would be advantageous, as would broader asset class knowledge across FX, Commodities, or Equities

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, as you will face off directly to senior traders and risk users, gathering requirements and delivering elegant but pragmatic technical solutions.
