Senior Software Engineer - DV Security Cleared
Senior Software Engineer with current DV Security Clearance is required to join our government client, supporting a critical national security programme on an initial 18-month contract.
This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing advanced technical capabilities that protect sensitive government environments and operations.
The role is predominantly greenfield development, working across a federated architecture spanning edge devices, central Servers and data analytics, taking an established prototype towards a more mature production capability.
You will work on software supporting monitoring, sensing, data processing, analytics and automation within highly secure operational environments.
Senior Software Engineer- DV Security Cleared- Essential Experience
- Significant software engineering experience within secure, complex or mission-critical environments.
- Strong development experience with Python and/or C/C++.
- Strong Linux experience, ideally within Debian-based environments.
- Experience designing and delivering secure, resilient and maintainable software solutions.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, systems integration and data processing.
- Experience working with testing, quality assurance and secure-by-design principles.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Experience integrating software with sensors, hardware, monitoring platforms, operational technology or enterprise data services.
- Current DV Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain DV clearance.
- Must be a sole British national.
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
Senior Software Engineer- DV Security Cleared- Desirable Technical Experience
Experience with some of the following technologies would be highly beneficial:
- NVIDIA CUDA/GPU-accelerated computing
- Machine learning and data analytics
- NumPy/SciPy, PostgreSQL/SQLite, Docker/containerised environments
- Ansible, Cython, Celery/Redis
- JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, Nginx/Keycloak
- Edge computing, sensor systems or distributed/federated architectures
- Signal, sensor or other complex data processing
- You do not need experience across the entire technology stack. Strong core software engineering skills in Python/C++, Linux and complex data or systems environments are the priority.

Location: Milton Keynes - fully onsite
Contract: 18 months
Rate: £550-£600 per day, Inside IR35
Clearance: Current DV Security Clearance/eligibility to obtain
