MIS Manager HR Systems & Data
Location: Chester (Hybrid working)
 Salary: Up to £49,000 PA with benefits on top including but not limited too, government pension scheme, free onsite parking, 35 days annual leave, access to EAP, discounted gym memberships and more. 
 Contract: Permanent, full-time (36.5 hours per week)

 We re working with a leading higher education institution to recruit an MIS Manager, responsible for driving high-quality, strategically focused HR systems and data services.
The Role
As the MIS Manager, you ll lead the HR MIS team to deliver a responsive, data-driven service that supports the University s people strategy. You ll ensure HR systems are effective, data is reliable, and management information is accurate to inform key business decisions.
This role will see you:
- Lead and develop the MIS team to deliver efficient and digital-first HR system solutions.
 - Oversee the HR/Payroll system (ResourceLink), ensuring it is fit for purpose and continuously improved.
 - Drive a culture of data excellence, maintaining governance, data integrity, and GDPR compliance.
 - Provide insightful HR data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence to senior stakeholders.
 - Manage statutory reporting requirements including HESA staff returns, Gender Pay Gap reports, and UCEA surveys.
 - Collaborate with colleagues across HR, Finance, Planning, and IT to embed evidence-based decision-making.
 - Line management of 3 team members.
 
About You
We re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of HR, data, and technology. You ll bring:
- Strong experience managing or developing HR Information Systems (ResourceLink experience desirable).
 - Proven ability to improve systems and reporting processes.
 - Excellent analytical and technical skills, including Power BI and Excel.
 - A track record of translating complex data into clear insights.
 - Great stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
 - A proactive approach with a strong understanding of GDPR and data governance.
 
A degree or equivalent professional experience in a systems-led role is essential. CIPD or project management qualifications would be advantageous.
