Morson Talent is partnering with a leading national infrastructure organisation to recruit a Senior Technology Engineer into their Engineering & Asset Management team. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of national infrastructure improvements, focusing on the development and delivery of early solutions across a broad technology asset portfolio.

This role is available on a hybrid basis from any of several regional offices across England. The position involves occasional travel and requires a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the planning and development of early-stage solutions for highway technology assets, ensuring compliance with national standards and policies

  • Evaluate asset data and identify needs using structured methodologies and prioritisation frameworks

  • Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing are embedded throughout project planning and delivery stages

  • Monitor early solution delivery and coordinate with delivery teams to resolve emerging issues

  • Maintain high-quality asset data records in line with national protocols and timescales

  • Drive value through innovative engineering approaches, cost modelling, and buildability assessments

What We're Looking For:

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or equivalent) with relevant professional membership

  • Degree or HND in a relevant engineering or technology discipline, with demonstrable experience

  • Strong knowledge of asset condition assessment techniques and degradation modelling

  • Familiarity with UK highways standards (e.g., DMRB) and their practical application

  • Understanding of value management and cost-benefit analysis processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
