Contract: Outside IR35
Day rate: Up to £850 per day

My client, a global consultancy requires a Technical Director to oversee and coordinating all technical aspects of the bid (including product/service design). If the bid is successful, there's a further opportunity to support contract negotiations and implementation of the system/service.
Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, including digital and sensor technologies, excellent leadership skills, and an ability to work well under pressure. AI, data analytics and data integration experience would be very useful but is not essential.
The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in managing the technical process, creating solutions, leading a technology team, in digital and data, sensors and AI.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Reviewing the client's technical documentation/requirements and providing input to the Go/No Go decision making process.
- Leading the technical response to the client's ITT and subsequent technical interactions with the client.
- Providing technical narrative for the initial IT response.
- Working with the Operational lead to review the client's service requirements/standards and working with our prime partner to translate these into a detailed asset inspection service plan/timetable.
- Supporting the Procurement team in securing firm prices and terms from key partners and sub-contractors e.g. by providing requirements documents and specifications for the partners/sub-contractors to bid against.
- Working with key partners and sub-contractors to formulate a technology and service improvement innovation/product roadmap for inclusion in the initial tender response.
- Supporting the Finance lead in developing a detailed cost model for the IT response.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Technical Director or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in successfully developing, delivering and maintaining complex technical products/digital solutions.
- .in system architecture, data integration and design, including the ability to design scalable, robust, and efficient systems/solutions.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand complex technical concepts, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including stakeholders and team members.
- Project management skills to oversee the development and implementation of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, ensuring company compliance.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a rapidly changing technology landscape.
