Motive Group has partnered with a scaling energy technology company on a mission to make buildings smarter and more sustainable. We're looking for a Field Technician to ensure smart devices and IoT systems are configured, tested, and running flawlessly on-site.
This role is ideal for someone from a field service, installation, or commissioning background who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving problems, and working directly with customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide basic trouble shooting support to ensure systems are running as expected
- Follow the process to configure IoT devices and energy monitoring systems (assign devices to the platform, ensure data is pulling through etc)
- Ensure WiFi connectivity, trouble shooting basic issues to ensure accurate data flow
- Support customer handovers and resolve on-site technical issues
- Collaborate with installation engineers and product teams to improve commissioning processes
You'll be great in this role if you have:
- Background in Field Service, Commissioning, or Electrical Installation
- Understanding of IoT devices, networking, or connected systems
- Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for site travel (we install when convenient for clients which means some work out of typical hours)
- Even better if you are Part P qualified or happy to learn
