Our client who has been redefining what's possible in the built environment for 40 years is looking for a Security Systems Design Architect to join their dynamic team in Central London.

 

In this role, you will transform initial tender concepts into fully developed on-site security solutions. Reporting to the Design Manger, you will act as a technical authority in electronic security system design, ensuring systems meet high standards of functionality, compliance, and integration.

 

The successful Security Systems Design Architect will see you engaging directly with clients, attending design meetings, and collaborating across departments to deliver seamless security solutions in smart buildings.

 

To be considered for the Security Systems Design Architect role you will have

 

  • Proven experience in a security systems design role, particularly in smart building environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more manufacturers such as Axis, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure, Gallagher, Genetec, CEM, Honeywell, Zenitel, and Commend.
  • A track record in enterprise, data centre, and commercial campus projects.
  • Certifications with key security system manufacturers.
  • Any knowledge of audio-visual, ICT infrastructure, IoT, and network architecture.

 

As a Security Systems Design Architect, you will be responsible for

 

  • Security Solutions Design - Developing detailed security system designs including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, and perimeter detection, whilst preparing bills of materials (BOMs), labour estimates, RFIs, variation costings, and technical submittals.
  • Attending client meetings, workshops, and post-tender presentations, defining client requirements and translating them into technical solutions and acting as a subject matter expert during the project delivery cycle.
  • Working closely with internal teams including bids, procurement, and delivery.
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to remain up-to-date with the latest technology and creating and updating all relevant technical and commercial documentation.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
