We are seeking a skilled customer focused UX manager who can help us transform our customers' Cybersecurity experience and continue to drive the success of our design system across our portfolio. As a relentless advocate for our customers, you will shape the user experience of our Adlumin product, ensuring an intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience.

As a UX Manager, you will bring your experience working on UX in other SaaS companies acting as a player-coach and will lead a team of talented UX designers and researchers, driving alignment and working towards common goals.

You will drive our UX principles, improve our product experience, actively be involved in generating designs, deliver on our UX strategy, provide guidance and support, manage operational health, all the while driving improvements to team processes.

This is a 11 month fixed-term maternity cover. As we have a hybrid culture, the role will require 3 days a week in our brand new Edinburgh hub.

What You'll Do
  • Hands on leadership, acting as a player-coach, where you will work directly with the Adlumin Product team, including PM, Architecture and Engineering.
  • Support the continued growth of our Design System and Common Experiences across our portfolio of products whilst managing a team of Researchers and Designers, providing guidance and supporting their professional development and providing leadership, direction, and mentorship for your distributed team of UX Designers and Researchers.
  • Serve as the primary UX specialist responsible for Adlumin & Design System.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing UX strategy for Adlumin with plans to continually enhance the Adlumin UX function.
  • Essential to this role is building strong relationships with Engineering, Product Management and Architecture team members and leaders
  • Contribute to the larger user experience vision whilst being an effective advocate for user-centred design thinking and promoting UX best practices and foster a user-centred design culture within N-able.
  • Be an Advocate for user-centred design thinking with a continuous discovery mindset and ensure the success of product releases through proper prioritization, efficient design processes, and strong integration within the product development lifecycle.
What You'll Bring
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • In-company UX design experience for SaaS organizations rather than only design consultancy experience
  • Knowledge of cyber security tools, data protection and SaaS products is a plus
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team by driving toward shared goals/outcomes and influence outcomes by aligning teams toward a common vision coupled with a solid track record of managing or leading UX Design or UX Research teams, fostering growth and performance management.
  • Professional portfolio of work demonstrating excellence in digital product design/research and a solid execution of user-centric design processes.
  • Passionate advocate for the user, committed to creating unexpectedly simple user experiences from complex technical business problems.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Qualtrics, Figma, Jira, Salesforce, Pendo or similar.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills combined with an ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
