Job Description

• Due to strict customer security clearance requirements, only applicants who have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years or more will be considered.
• Working within the Public Safety business, you will define policies and standards for technology delivery, with significant experience in modern, cloud-based technologies.
• As Solution Architect, you will lead a team of architects, providing architectural design and roadmaps for complex Policing and National Security applications supporting high-volume, mission-critical products and services.
• You will collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery, and Technical Leads to influence and define technology roadmaps aligning with commercial and technological goals.
• The role involves ensuring successful deployment of NECSWS Public Safety products, managing stakeholder expectations, and mediating technical discussions.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring scope of supply is correctly documented and maintained.
• Managing technical project risks.
• Documenting non-functional requirements.
• Conducting impact assessments using existing products where possible.
• Identifying opportunities for additional product capabilities.

Qualifications

Understanding/awareness of:

• C++, C#, SQL Server, Windows, Domains/AD, Mitel routing, Tetra protocols, PEI capabilities.

Practical knowledge of:

• C coding, SIP, VOIP (RTP/RTCP), TCP/IP networking, audio stacks, RabbitMQ.

In-depth knowledge of:

• Tetra networks (Motorola Dimetra), APIs, analogue radio, PABX, Airwave, TOPS, EISEC.

The Solution Architect will manage customer relationships, support bid processes, and promote architectural vision within teams.
