Junior Service Engineer

Delivering both off-the-shelf and bespoke systems, the business supports a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to global organisations, as well as major events, festivals, and venues. Due to ongoing expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Service Engineer to join the team, supporting clients across the Southern region, based out of Eastleigh. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career - including recent college or university graduates - who is eager to learn and develop within a hands-on technical environment.Your Roles and Responsibilities While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the delivery, installation, and maintenance of radio communication systems, body worn cameras, and security technologies
- Supporting the sales team with basic technical input, product demonstrations, and customer enquiries
- Helping carry out site surveys and preventative maintenance inspections (PMI), producing reports and documentation
- Learning to support system design, build, testing, installation, and commissioning
- Providing first-line technical support to customers via phone and remote systems
- Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment
- Supporting equipment configuration across communication and security systems
- Providing on-site support at events such as festivals, sporting events, and entertainment venues
- Working alongside experienced engineers to deliver projects and maintain high customer satisfaction
- A background or qualification in telecommunications, electronics, IT, or a related field (college leavers and graduates encouraged to apply)
- A genuine interest in engineering, technology, or communications systems
- Basic understanding of IT or networking (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including travel when required
- A valid UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
