Network Engineer

Operating at the forefront of digital transformation, they are playing a leading role in the transition to All IP services, developing secure and resilient network infrastructure that underpins essential communication and care services.Your Roles and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Designing, deploying and maintaining resilient network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP and routing environments
  • Providing advanced support for complex network and connectivity issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions using tools such as Wireshark, SIP tracing and packet capture
  • Supporting and maintaining mission-critical SIP/VoIP communications and digital connectivity services
  • Managing firewalls, VPNs and network security controls to ensure secure, compliant and highly available infrastructure
  • Monitoring network performance, capacity and availability, proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability and service delivery
  • Working closely with internet service providers, telecommunications partners and third-party suppliers to maintain service levels and deliver infrastructure enhancements
  • Providing technical guidance and support to customers and external stakeholders regarding network connectivity and system integrations
  • Supporting the ongoing transition from analogue infrastructure to modern All IP networking solutions
  • Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, network diagrams and operational procedures
  • Contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and data protection requirements
What You Will Need to Apply: The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator or within a similar networking position, ideally gained within telecommunications, managed services or another technically complex environment. Applicants should possess strong technical knowledge of IP networking technologies, including TCP/IP, SIP/VoIP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and cloud networking, alongside hands-on experience configuring and supporting enterprise networking infrastructure. Experience troubleshooting complex networking issues using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark and packet capture software will be highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and methodical while working within mission-critical environments where service availability is essential. Strong communication skills are equally important, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Applicants should ideally hold a recognised networking qualification such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or an equivalent certification. Experience supporting digital communications, technology-enabled services or the migration to All IP networks would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful individual will be customer-focused, collaborative and self-motivated, with a genuine passion for networking technologies and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality technical solutions.
