Senior Procurement Manager

As part of continued investment across its technology and procurement functions, the business is looking to appoint a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement activity across Enterprise Technology & Services. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering commercial value, driving supplier innovation and ensuring procurement is embedded as a strategic business function across a complex enterprise environment. Your Roles & Responsibilities: While in this position your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing and delivering the procurement strategy across Enterprise Technology and Services
  • Leading complex end-to-end sourcing activities for enterprise technology, software, systems integration and managed service providers
  • Negotiating high-value commercial agreements, software licensing contracts and strategic supplier partnerships
  • Acting as the primary procurement business partner for senior technology and business stakeholders
  • Building strong relationships with Technology Directors, Programme Managers and senior corporate leaders to influence commercial decision-making
  • Supporting major digital transformation programmes by embedding procurement throughout project lifecycles
  • Providing commercial guidance and strategic procurement expertise across technology initiatives and investment decisions
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise total cost of ownership, improve commercial performance and deliver long-term value
  • Leading supplier negotiations while maintaining strong governance, compliance and risk management standards
  • Monitoring supplier performance, market developments and emerging technology trends to identify innovation opportunities
  • Managing a portfolio of strategic suppliers and ensuring robust contract management processes are maintained
  • Supporting procurement governance, audit requirements and regulatory compliance across all sourcing activities
  • Leading and mentoring members of the procurement team while promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Deputising for the Procurement Director on Enterprise Technology and Services matters when required
What You Will Need to Apply: The ideal candidate will possess significant experience within strategic procurement, category management or commercial sourcing, with a strong background in enterprise technology and IT services procurement. Candidates should demonstrate proven experience managing complex procurement programmes involving software licensing, cloud services, systems integration, managed services and enterprise technology suppliers. Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements and managing multi-million-pound procurement portfolios will be highly advantageous. Applicants should possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident building trusted relationships with senior leaders, including Director and C-suite level stakeholders. The ability to influence decision-making, challenge constructively and provide strategic commercial advice will be essential. Strong commercial acumen, contract negotiation expertise and an in-depth understanding of procurement governance, supplier management and risk mitigation are required. Experience working within large, complex organisations or transformation environments would be particularly beneficial. The successful candidate will be a commercially driven leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, capable of balancing long-term transformation projects alongside ongoing operational procurement requirements.
