Technical Reporting Assistant

As the business continues to strengthen its reporting capability and operational insight, a fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Reporting Assistant to join the team on a permanent, site-based basis in Bournemouth, supporting key stakeholders with high-quality management reporting and business intelligence solutions.Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the design, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions to enable accurate, timely decision-making
  • Assisting with ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load), ensuring data is transferred from source systems to reporting environments with accuracy and integrity
  • Helping to develop and maintain a robust reporting framework, ensuring best practice is applied across data connections and reporting assets
  • Identifying and resolving data accuracy issues, carrying out audits and checks to maintain confidence in reporting outputs
  • Designing, building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to communicate key operational and financial metrics
  • Producing clear, relevant reporting outputs—both regular and ad-hoc—in a user-friendly format for a range of stakeholders
  • Working closely with senior reporting and finance colleagues to gather requirements and translate these into effective BI solutions
  • Supporting colleagues in understanding reporting requirements and helping non-technical users interpret insights confidently
  • Maintaining accurate documentation around reporting tools, data sources, definitions and reporting processes
  • Managing multiple reporting tasks and deadlines, ensuring priorities are met in a fast-paced environment
What You Will Need To Apply: Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Experience using data visualisation and/or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent IT skills with confidence presenting reports and communicating insights clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • A detail-focused approach with a commitment to data accuracy and continuous improvement
