Salary: £52,000 £65,000 pa depending on experience
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (35 hours/week)

NEXUS / HDC (the trading name of HD Clinical Ltd) is a leading independent supplier of a clinical I.T. platform to the NHS and other care providers. Clinical areas include Cardiology, Endoscopy, Neurophysiology, Respiratory and Maternity.
HD Clinical was founded in 2005 and joined the NEXUS Group in 2024, switching to NEXUS / HDC the following year
Role Overview:
Working as part of the Solus Evolution product management team, you will use your clinical expertise in physiological diagnostics and experience of clinical software to lead the product vision, strategy, and delivery of NEXUS / HDC s cardiology modules.
The Product Manager Physiological Diagnostics will translate complex clinical cardiology workflows into actionable product requirements for the development team while ensuring that the cardiology modules continue to meet the needs of clinicians, NHS organisations, and other healthcare providers. In addition to cardiology, the role encompasses other clinical areas including neurophysiology and respiratory, therefore an understanding of these clinical pathways is essential.
Part of the role will involve product demonstrations to potential customer and training customers in the use of our clinical software. The ability to communicate with and manage a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally is vital, as are your organisation and prioritisation skills.
This is a complex role requiring the ability to problem solve and influence at all levels. You need to be a real team-player capable of bringing colleagues onboard from senior leaders and software developers to project managers.
A strong clinical background is essential to bridge the gap between clinical practice and software development and to recognise where clinical safety could be compromised.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap for Solus cardiology modules, aligning with company strategy and customer needs.
• Engage with cardiologists, cardiac physiologists, and clinical stakeholders to collect and validate requirements.
• Translate clinical workflows and diagnostic processes into clear user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with development, UX, QA, implementation, and regulatory teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Ensure Solus cardiology modules comply with relevant clinical and regulatory standards.
• Support internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Support) with clinical expertise and product knowledge.
• Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and user feedback workshops to a varied audience including, clinical, management and IT staff.
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for physiological diagnostics particularly clinical workflows and diagnostics in cardiology with some understanding of neurophysiology and respiratory.
• Apply understanding of clinical safety reporting in the development of specifications

Knowledge & Skills :
Essential:
• Qualified cardiac nurse, cardiac physiologist or equivalent
• Experience taking a leading role with clinical software or digital health products.
• Hands-on clinical cardiology experience
• Experience gathering, interpreting, and documenting user requirements.
• Strong understanding of cardiology diagnostics and workflows, including ECG, echocardiography, ambulatory monitoring, and cath lab processes.
• Understanding of neurophysiology and respiratory clinical pathways
• Ability to translate between clinical and technical perspectives.
• Understanding the principles behind clinical safety reporting
• Knowledge of technical product management including leading the development and delivery of product strategy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise effectively.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies
• Capable of working unsupervised to agreed timescales
• Methodical and disciplined approach to work
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capable of adapting influencing style to achieve desired outcomes
• Presentation skills, particularly in relation to delivering training and product demonstrations to a varied audience.
• Commercial focus or aptitude
• A team player willing to collaborate across departments to ensure delivery of product strategy
• Full, clean driving licence
Desirable:
• Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
• Experience with interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
• Familiarity with medical device standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971).
• Experience working in a commercial environment.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies.
