Senior Business Analyst
Job summary

As a Senior Business Solutions Analyst, youll deliver expert analysis to help shape services, processes, and digital solutions within the ambitious Donor and Session Programme (DASP).You'll work in a multi-disciplinary team driving transformation of business and user experiences, requiring strong stakeholder management and leadership of business analysis activities.
The role includes managing or supporting other analysts, handling multiple projects with varying timelines, and balancing your own workload with team coordination. It requires initiative and autonomy, particularly in remote, virtual teams, while knowing when to seek support.
Every improvement you deliver contributes to NHSBT's mission to keep costs low and ensure more funding goes to front line NHS carehelping to save and improve lives every day.
Main duties of the job
You will develop business-focused, digital-led solutions to support NHSBTs operational and strategic change agenda. Key responsibilities include:
- Aligning digital solution options with NHSBTs strategy and effectively communicating with stakeholders Leading and managing Business Solutions Analysts and Business Analysts where required
- Producing requirement specifications, process maps, interface guides, and functional documentation while maintaining standards and policies
- Providing governance across the systems lifecycle to ensure business needs are met
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to validate and improve processes and resolve service or software issues
- Researching and developing solutions that best fit NHSBTs corporate needs
- Designing workflows and processes that deliver high performance and ensuring process assurance
- Managing compliance and quality in line with regulatory standards
The role involves travel, irregular hours, and occasional overnight stays with notice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to masters level or equivalent experience
- Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD)
Experience
- In-depth understanding of current state and good practice of business process management
- Significant experience of process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies
- Significant experience of best practice methods for eliciting and managing requirements
- Good understanding of the principles associated with the development and introduction of new and novel systems and processes
- Significant experience of digital strategic planning and successful management of large-scale change
- Significant experience of digital business process management to support significant business change and development across a range of different business models e.g. manufacturing, health, clinical, customer service, logistics
- Strong stakeholder management
