We're looking for two passionate and forward-thinking People Systems and Transformation Advisors to play a central role in one of the most significant people transformation programmes in the NHS. This is much more than a systems role, you'll work with stakeholders across the business to understand current processes, identify opportunities for improvement and redesign ways of working that add real value, maximising the opportunities of NHS PeoplePortal.
We're looking for someone with experience in HR, workforce or a similar environment, combined with strong HR systems experience, analytical curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement. You'll be proactive, independent, commercially minded, solution and future focussed and comfortable working within a landscape of continual change. Most importantly, you'll be an enthusiastic advocate for PeoplePortal, inspiring others to embrace new opportunities and helping our organisation harness the vast benefits of this exciting transformation project.

As a People Systems and Transformation Advisor, you'll play a key role in helping NHSBSA maximise the benefits of the NHS Future Workforce Solution.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll:
- Lead and support process redesign activities, reviewing current ways of working and developing future-state processes that make best use of system capability.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand existing challenges, identify opportunities and co-design effective solutions.
- Challenge existing practices constructively to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, timeliness and colleague experience.
- Support change management activities, helping colleagues confidently adopt new processes and technology.
- Develop effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, building trust and collaboration throughout the transformation journey.

Job Purpose
As a People Systems and Transformation Advisor, you will proactively support the implementation and optimisation of the Future NHS Workforce Solution (new HR system) across the NHSBSA. Collaborating effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders, you will deliver process redesign and transformation of our people processes and how we work to support our effective adoption of the Future NHS Workforce Solution and achievement of the NHSBSAs business priorities and strategic goals.
You will have a relevant background in either HR, Workforce or equivalent, combining a great mix of HR system experience, analytical curiosity and process redesign with a drive to add value through effective engagement and collaboration with stakeholders across the business. You will be proactive, commercially minded, solution and future focussed, able to proactively manage, own and deliver multiple competing priorities within a landscape of continual change.
You will champion the implementation of the Future NHS Workforce Solution, be a passionate advocate and enthusiast, energising others to engage with the opportunities provided by the adoption of this brand new HR system for both our organisation and the wider sector.
Working collaboratively within the People Team and alongside HR Shared Services, Payroll and wider business stakeholders, you will deliver efficient and effective work which adds value. You will challenge the status quo, supporting excellent service delivery and a consistently high performing people provision across the NHSBSA.
In this role you are accountable for:
Research, plan and implement a broad range of process improvement initiatives that harness the opportunities of the Future NHS Workforce Solution, communicating effectively to support business wide adoption and integration. Using an evidence and research based approach that ensures consistency and benefit realisation throughout.
Role model and positively advocate for the capability and functionality of the Future NHS Workforce Solution, driving colleague engagement through a range of initiatives within Directorates and the wider organisation in conjunction with Project, People and Communications teams.
Proactively engage with stakeholders across the business to translate the opportunities, functionality, capability and capacity of the NHS Future Workforce Solution to identify, design and drive transformation of our existing people processes. Simplifying and strengthening how we work in order to enhance efficiency, timeliness, quality and colleague experience. Working closely with Business Analysts to undertake current and future state process mapping, identifying key opportunities, dependencies and risks to effective service delivery.
Frequent development of new processes and ways of working to support effective adoption of the Future NHS Workforce Solution, ensuring all requirements, deliverables and constraints are identified and considered through a sound working knowledge as subject matter expert on a range of operational activities and systems.
Enable the effective, timely and proactive delivery of HR Advisory and People services to managers and colleagues across the NHSBSA through the implementation of effective HR practices and processes across the full remit of employee relations matters.
Develop and assure effective understanding and support the application of our HR policies across the full remit of the HR Operations portfolio. Identifying opportunities for maximising efficiency through process change enabled by the Future NHS Workforce Solution. Working closely with Senior HR Advisors on policy updates, supportive managers guidance and internal process documentation.
Owning project work that adds value and continual improvement to service delivery. Embracing change and taking accountability for accurate and timely delivery.
Prepare and present regular highlight reports defining projects progress, risks and solutions for discussion with operational teams and within overall Project Board.
Being an active member of the wider People Team, continually supporting team development to ensure a consistent value adding provision to leaders, managers and colleagues. Enabling colleagues across the People Team to grow as subject matter experts of the Future NHS Workforce Solutions functionality, capability and capacity.
Effectively and confidently use people data to provide insight and inform decision making across the full remit of HR Operations activity. Undertaking a proactive role to inform and influence project task and finish group and project meeting outputs and deliverables.
Designing and delivering training/updates/briefing sessions across the NHSBSA to build stakeholders confidence and capability in the usage of the Future NHS Workforce Solution and embedding changes to processes and policy effectively.
Continually develop professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with external trends and best practice across the HR landscape. Participating in the identification of related implications and required changes, cascading and sharing knowledge across the HR Operations Team.
Build active internal and external networks within the NHS and across the Early Adopter community to share best practice and support the development of innovative ideas and effective partnership working.
During onboarding to the Future NHS Workforce Solution, provide support to payroll activities including maintenance of related data and processes, ensuring records are accurately prepared, validated, and maintained. Supporting testing, issue resolution, and the transition to business as usual activities, where required.

Qualifications
- 19.Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification and experience.
- 20.CIPD Associate membership.

Experience
- 13.Significant relevant experience in an HR, Workforce or equivalent customer focussed environment.
- 14.Demonstrable experience of advising on the effective application of organisational policies, processes, procedures and best practice.
- 15.Demonstrable experience of effectively utilising and championing HR information systems.
- 16.Experience of implementing process change and improvement initiatives within a relevant environment.
- 17.Experience of working with NHS or public sector terms and conditions of service.
- 18.Experience of working effectively with Trade Unions.
