Digital Communications & Design Senior Assistant
Job summary
The Digital Communications & Design Senior Assistant will support the delivery of the ICB's digital communications, social media and engagement activities. The postholder will support the maintenance, development and content creation for the NHS Central East ICB website, as well as creating, scheduling and publishing engaging content across a range of digital and social media channels. The role will also involve designing and producing creative assets to support campaigns, projects and corporate communications. In addition, the postholder will assist in monitoring website and social media performance, providing insights and reporting to support continuous improvement and inform future communications activity.
This role requires strong organisational skills, digital platform experience, attention to detail, and creativity to produce high-quality content that reflects the ICB's values, priorities and branding. The Digital Communications & Design Senior Assistant will play a key role in maintaining a consistent and professional online presence, contributing to the organisation's reputation and stakeholder engagement.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
Support the maintenance, development and content management of the ICB websites, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and up to date.
Support the day-to-day management of the ICB's corporate social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn), responding to enquiries from staff, stakeholders and members of the public in line with agreed processes.
Create, schedule and publish engaging content across social media and digital platforms.
Design creative assets and support the delivery of digital communications campaigns, including partnership and innovation projects.
Monitor online engagement across digital channels and assist in analysing website and social media performance, producing reports and insights to inform future activity.
Ensure all digital and visual content aligns with organisational brand guidelines, accessibility standards and strategic priorities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of digital communications channels, identifying opportunities to increase reach, engagement and effectiveness.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the postholder supports managers and officers to plan, monitor, and deliver high-quality outcomes.The role requires strong organisational skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Assistant will act as a key point of contact within their area, ensuring accurate communication and coordination across teams.Through proactive support, teamwork, and a commitment to improvement, the Senior Assistant helps the ICB achieve its vision of delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable care for the local population.
