Job summary
The Senior Server Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the operational management of hybrid cloud services including hyperconverged infrastructure, spanning multiple on premises datacentres as well as third party cloud vendors. The team is also responsible for many traditional bare metal services located across the North East London ICB customer base. This role is a highly skilled technical role, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and an eye for detail. The role requires experience with various technologies and tools such as Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Prism Central/Element, Nutanix Files, Nutanix failover business continuity, Azure IaaS, PowerShell, API integrations, Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, BeyondTrust Remote Console and Privileged Remote Access, Adaxes, ManageEngine.
This role is a senior role, as such mentoring of junior employees is required, as well as communication of complex technical tasks to non-technical colleagues and customers. Occasional requirement to provide team leadership when line management is on leave, as well as leadership in ITIL processes such as Change Management, Major Incident Management and Problem management.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- Microsoft MCSE or equivalent certification
- Nutanix Multicloud Infrastructure Professional or above
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- ITILv3 or newer Foundation
- Post-graduate degree or equivalent
- Azure Administration (AZ-104)
Experience
- Extensive experience of Microsoft cloud technologies inc Azure, O365
- Significant experience of server virtualization on VMware / Nutanix
- Significant experience of scripting and automated deployments including powershell
- Significant experience supporting and managing a server infrastructure in an enterprise environment
- Significant Experience in providing specialist, professional technical support and guidance to peers and colleagues.
- Significant experience in performance monitoring and proposing corrective actions
- Experience managing a corporate data center and associated technologies
- Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
- Experience of managing risks and reporting
- Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence
