Data Analytics and Reporting Lead
The Data Analytics and Reporting Lead plays a pivotal role in transforming Developer Services data into strategic insights that drive business performance and workforce effectiveness. This role is responsible for the provision of Developer Services analytics, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and meaningful data to stakeholders across the business. By leveraging advanced analytics, reporting tools, and a deep understanding of Developer Services metrics, the role supports evidence-based decision-making corporate KPIs.
They will partner with internal and external systems providers and business stakeholders, ensuring that data solutions are aligned with organisational priorities and compliant with data governance standards. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong communication and data storytelling skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategic Developer Services and business decisions.
Reporting to the Developer Services Customer Manager (L4), the DS Data Analytic Reporting lead (L5) will provide a single point of contact for all DS reporting and analytics

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Option A:
Degree level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Statistics/Mathematics or a related field) and two years' experience including all listed below
OR
Option B:
Relevant professional certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, data analytics, SQL or related areas and two years' experience including all listed below.
OR
Option C:
A minimum of four years' experience including all listed below.
Experience must include:
- Delivering Corporate or Business data analysis and reporting within a large and complex organization, communicating insights to non-technical audiences to support strategic decision-making.
- Engaging with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver reporting solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Power BI skills or an equivalent reporting tool with a proven record of developing user-friendly dashboards and reports.
- Knowledge of database concepts (i.e. entities, attributes, relations, normalisation).
- Experience or awareness of Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Understanding of data protection, GDPR, and confidentiality in handling people data.
Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £35,354 o £47,138 per annum

Westland House, Old Westland Road, Belfast, BT14 6TE
The successful candidate may be required to travel to other NI Water sites as and when required.
