Senior Storage Engineer (City of London)

We’re partnering with a leading global quantitative investment firm to find a Senior Storage Engineer to join their core infrastructure team.

In this role, you'll work closely with research and trading teams to build and support high-performance, scalable storage systems powering advanced AI/ML and HPC workloads. The environment is fast-paced, deeply technical, and highly collaborative.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in large-scale, Linux-based storage systems
• Deep knowledge of protocols and technologies such as NFS, S3, CEPH, Lustre, GPFS, ROCE, and Infiniband
• Strong performance tuning and benchmarking skills (storage, network, Linux kernel)
• Solid experience with DevOps tooling (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Jenkins)
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or similar languages
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools like Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Bonus: experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
