IT Support Apprentice

The role is office based and located in our Swindon office. Working as part of our busy project and support team to ensure engineers are scheduled, utilisation monitored and reported on and discussion with clients to communicate updates for planned and current project activity.

Role

· Responsible for supporting delivery of the service desk SLAs.

· Working closely with the Engineering Manager and project coordinator ensuring the smooth running of the Service Desk and Project Coordination.

· Creation, management, and development of monthly client reports.

· Identification of trends and reporting any problems to management.

· Ensure you and the team follow incident management, problem management and change management processes.

· Responsible for software & hardware asset management.

· Dealing with customer feedback, tracking responses.

· Ability to build key relationships internal and external customer.

· From time to time you may be required to support the sales team in meetings, or by providing documents/support for their business development.

· Maintain a high level of courtesy and professionalism with customers at all times.

Training

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Information communications technician Level 3, with training in how to:

·        Install and configure relevant software and hardware as appropriate for example: mobile apps, printers, projectors, scanners and cameras.

·        Address IT issues by prioritizing in response to customer service level agreements.

·        Administer security access requirements and permissions for stakeholders escalating as necessary for example password resets.

·        Support the roll out of upgrades or new systems or applications.
