Job Description

NOQ Group is on the lookout for a highly experienced Lead Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, AWS, NoSQL (MongoDB), and SQL databases (PostgreSQL). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems and microservices architecture and EKS. Experience working in fast-growing and scaling startups is crucial. This role will require you to collaborate across different functions and lead the backend development of our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services and infrastructure.
  • Build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Build and manage databases, specifically MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, ensuring fast response times and peak system health.
  • Implement robust security and data protection measures.
  • Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and version control.
  • Continuously monitor and improve backend systems as the company scales.
  • Manage a team of software developers

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of backend development with Node.js and Typescript.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
  • In-depth experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
  • In-depth experience of Event driven architecture (i.e. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Proficient in deploying and managing applications using EKS.
  • Hands-on experience in fast-growing and scaling startup environments.
  • Adept at handling complex technical challenges and delivering high-impact projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
