Senior Backend Developer – Permanent | UK-Based | SC Eligible

I’m recruiting for a client seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their growing engineering team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to architecting and building high-performance backend systems using NodeJS and TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable NodeJS backends using TypeScript
• Apply best practices in architecture, code design (SOLID, DI), and testing
• Write efficient, optimised SQL for high-load environments
• Build custom dev tools and contribute to CI/CD and backend workflows
• Collaborate closely with frontend teams for seamless integration
• Stay current with backend trends and share knowledge with peers

Skills:

• 10+ years of backend development experience
• Deep expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript ecosystems
• Strong understanding of clean code, testing, and maintainable architecture
• Proficient with Git and common backend tooling
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
