Known for specialist, cost-effective Security Consultancy & Managed Security Services, Our Client serves a diverse clientele, including start-ups, SMEs, corporate organisations, and government agencies.

Job Summary

Our Client seeks an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in technology or cyber security. This role involves expanding the client base through new business development, upselling to existing clients, and building a robust pipeline in both the private and public sectors. The position offers uncapped commission potential, a structured career path, and the opportunity to build a team by hiring Business Development Executives (BDEs) and Account Managers.

Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Identify, pursue, and generate new business opportunities through LinkedIn outreach and networking.
  • Upsell and expand services to existing clients, ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Conduct client visits, deliver presentations, and engage in consultative sales discussions to understand and meet client security needs.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and offering tailored solutions.
  • Foster long-term client satisfaction and retention, and build relationships with partners to contribute to the Cyber Security Partner Programme.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Collaborate on and implement effective sales strategies with the leadership team.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, contribute to revenue growth, and maintain accurate sales records and forecasts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with internal teams to optimise sales processes and provide market feedback for refining service offerings.
  • Leverage the existing client base to source new opportunities and support the development of a dynamic sales team.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in cyber security with a strong understanding of consultancy services (e.g., Penetration Testing, GRC services).
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, and communication skills, with a robust LinkedIn presence.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of managing a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, comfortable with client visits and sales discussions.
  • Experience with CRM solutions, ideally HubSpot, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Package

  • Up to £50k basic (dependent on experience) with uncapped OTE.
  • Generous commission structure.
