About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of SAP projects and programmes for our customers.

You will take ownership of projects from initiation through to go-live and transition, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, budget, timelines and quality standards. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, work closely with senior stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams across NTT DATA, customers and delivery partners.

This is a senior role for someone who takes ownership, provides strong leadership and builds trusted relationships at every level.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

• Take overall responsibility for SAP project delivery from initiation through to go-live and transition.
• Own project scope, plans, budgets, resources, timelines, dependencies and quality.
• Establish effective governance, reporting and change control, proactively managing risks and issues.
• Coordinate SAP functional and technical workstreams, customers, partners and third parties.
• Ensure successful testing, deployment, go-live and transition.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers at all levels and act as a senior point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead steering committees, governance meetings, workshops and senior stakeholder updates.
• Communicate complex project information clearly and manage expectations, risks and decisions effectively.
• Understand customer business objectives and ensure delivery remains focused on achieving measurable outcomes.

Leadership & Commercial Management

• Lead multidisciplinary SAP project teams, providing clear direction, accountability and support.
• Manage internal teams, customer resources, partners and third parties as required.
• Own project budgets, forecasts, costs and resource requirements, balancing commercial performance with customer outcomes.
• Manage change requests and commercial impacts effectively.
• Support account teams in identifying follow-on opportunities and additional value for customers.

SAP Delivery & Business Development

• Apply SAP Activate methodology throughout the project lifecycle, adapting the approach to the size and complexity of the project.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of SAP implementation and transformation programmes and the dependencies across SAP solutions, integrations, data, testing and business change.
• Apply appropriate project delivery methodologies, governance and tools.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, pre-sales activities and C-level customer discussions where appropriate.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across the SAP practice.

Required Skills & Experience

• Significant experience as a Project Manager delivering SAP implementations, transformations or programmes.
• Proven experience managing SAP projects through the full lifecycle from initiation through to go-live and transition.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of SAP Activate methodology, with the ability to apply its principles throughout the SAP project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of SAP implementation, transformation, governance and project delivery.
• Experience managing complex SAP projects involving multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience managing scope, budget, resources, timelines, risks and dependencies.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including project budget and forecast management.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across customers, internal teams, partners and third parties.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior and C-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• SAP Activate certification is desirable.
• PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
• Experience across SAP solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP BTP or other SAP technologies.
• Experience of SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP Cloud solutions and/or Cloud ALM is advantageous but not essential.
• Industry experience in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, consumer products or wholesale is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
