Job Title : SAP Integration Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect to lead the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP landscapes. This role is not limited to project delivery, it also plays a key role in solution advisory, pre-sales support, RFP responses, client workshops, proof-of-concepts, innovation initiatives, and AI-led integration use cases.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of architecture leadership, hands-on integration expertise, stakeholder management, and consulting capability. The person will be expected to engage with business and IT leaders, shape integration strategies, support digital transformation programs, and ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1) Integration Architecture & Solution Design

• Define end-to-end integration architecture for SAP and hybrid enterprise landscapes.
• Design integration solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, and relevant middleware platforms.
• Architect interfaces between SAP and third-party systems including cloud applications, legacy systems, data platforms, and partner ecosystems.
• Establish integration patterns for real-time, asynchronous, API-based, event-driven, and batch-based scenarios.
• Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards for scalability, security, resiliency, performance, and supportability.
• Create high-level and low-level design documents, integration blueprints, and architecture decision records.
• Define reusable templates, frameworks, and best practices for integration delivery.

2) Delivery Leadership

• Lead integration workstreams across implementation, migration, transformation, and enhancement programs.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, consultants, and project teams during design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare phases.
• Review interface designs, mappings, error-handling frameworks, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Support estimation, planning, risk identification, issue resolution, and dependency management for integration scope.
• Ensure quality delivery by enforcing coding standards, design reviews, documentation, and testing discipline.
• Drive defect triage and root-cause analysis for complex integration issues.
• Support cutover, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization.

3) Advisory & Consulting

• Work with business, enterprise architects, and program stakeholders to define integration strategy and roadmap.
• Conduct client workshops to gather requirements, assess current-state integration maturity, and recommend target-state architecture.
• Advise on SAP BTP adoption, integration modernization, API enablement, and clean-core aligned integration approaches.
• Provide consulting input on tool selection, integration governance, interface rationalization, and platform simplification.
• Act as a trusted advisor for digital transformation initiatives involving SAP-led business processes.

4) RFP / Pre-Sales Support

• Support proposal development, solution shaping, and client presentations for SAP integration opportunities.
• Contribute to RFPs, RFIs, estimates, effort models, solution narratives, assumptions, and delivery approaches.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, solution write-ups, and value propositions for pursuits.
• Identify differentiators, accelerators, and reusable assets to strengthen bids.
• Collaborate with sales, account teams, and practice leaders to develop compelling integration solutions.

5) Proof of Concepts & Innovation

• Lead or support PoCs, demos, and innovation initiatives around SAP integration and adjacent technologies.
• Evaluate new SAP integration capabilities, accelerators, and tools for applicability to client use cases.
• Prototype solutions involving AI, automation, intelligent monitoring, and integration modernization.
• Contribute to internal capability building, knowledge assets, and reusable frameworks.
• Drive innovation in areas such as API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, GenAI-enabled support, and intelligent interface operations.

6) AI-Enabled Integration Use Cases

• Support AI-related PoCs and advisory conversations with clients.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify practical, business-relevant AI opportunities in SAP integration programs.
• Ensure AI-related solutions align with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture principles.

7) Governance, Standards & Compliance

• Define and enforce integration governance standards, naming conventions, design principles, and review mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish observability and monitoring standards for interfaces, APIs, and event flows.
• Promote reusable services, canonical models where appropriate, and standard error-handling frameworks.
• Support architecture review boards and governance forums with integration recommendations.

8) Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

• Engage with delivery teams, SAP functional consultants, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate solution decisions, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior integration consultants and developers.
• Support capability development within the SAP integration practice through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on SAP integration architecture and delivery.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with:
• SAP Integration Suite
• SAP PI/PO and migration considerations to cloud integration
• SAP BTP services
• API Led Approach
• Event-driven integration concepts
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation or implementation programs.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware design principles.

Advisory / Client-Facing Experience

• Experience conducting architecture workshops and client advisory sessions.
• Strong background in solutioning for proposals, RFPs, and pre-sales engagements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable architecture recommendations.
• Strong consulting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

AI / Innovation Exposure

• Exposure to AI/GenAI, intelligent automation, or innovation initiatives in enterprise technology environments.
• Experience supporting or leading PoCs, prototypes, or innovation labs is highly preferred.
• Ability to identify business-relevant AI use cases in SAP/integration contexts.

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of:
• SAP integration architecture

• Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles and extensibility strategy is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications in Integration Suite, BTP, or related SAP technologies preferred.
• TOGAF or enterprise architecture certification is a plus.
• AI / Cloud / API architecture certifications are advantageous.
