About Napster

Napster offers lifelike AI agents that meet your customers wherever they are, and collaborate with your employees as coworkers. Agents that meet your customers on your website, inside your app, on a kiosk in a hospital lobby or a quick-service counter. And agents that work right next to your people, a real crew for every single employee.

What Napster Pulse is

A leader with two hundred people can hold a real weekly conversation with maybe fifteen of them. The rest become a status field in a spreadsheet. Pulse is an AI agent that conducts the interview itself, holds the thread, and returns what was actually said.

That makes a whole class of conversation possible for the first time: every direct report every week, every new hire at thirty days, every customer who left, every site in the field, every participant in a study. The pattern is any conversation a leader would hold if time allowed.

Pulse runs two kinds of interview. Evidentiary interviews follow a script, for compliance and research, where the record matters and every subject has to be asked the same thing. Exploratory interviews chase an outcome rather than a script, for standups, retros, and one-on-ones, where the useful part is whatever surfaces. Same platform, different contract with the person being interviewed.

The opportunity

The product is built. It has not launched, and it has no customers yet. You are its first product owner, and the first question is the hardest one in product: which function, which buyer, which conversations, and what we have to be excellent at to win them. None of that is settled. Settling it is the job, and we are deliberately not handing you the answer.

This is a role for someone who has found a market before, is comfortable starting with no users, and prioritizes hard when everything still looks possible.

In this role, you will

  • Own Pulse's positioning, product direction, and roadmap through launch and past it.
  • Find the first market: which buyer, which conversations, which proof.
  • Own the launch and the first pilots, including what counts as success before they start.
  • Decide what Pulse is not, and hold that line.

Your first 90 days

You get in front of real buyers, name the first market and the conversations Pulse wins, and get pilots running. By day 90 the test is simple: Pulse is in front of pilot customers against a stated hypothesis, you can say which use case is strongest and show the evidence, and the roadmap behind it is sequenced.

How you'll know it's working

Pilots turn into repeat usage. You can name the buyer, the conversation, and the reason they come back. The roadmap sharpens as evidence arrives. Use cases that do not earn their place get retired.

Who you'll work with

You partner with Engineering on what ships, with Sales on reaching the buyer, and with the CPO on where Pulse sits in the portfolio.

Competencies

  • Market Discovery. You find the buyer and the use case by talking to people who have the problem, and you change direction on what those conversations return.
  • Ruthless Prioritization. You choose what matters across competing possibilities and hold the line.
  • AI-First Operator. You have shipped something with AI in the last ninety days, and you use AI tooling to do your own work rather than only building AI into products.
  • Kill Discipline. You retire use cases that do not earn their place, and you can say exactly why.
  • Buyer Proximity. You are in front of the people who would pay from week one.
  • Owner's Bias. You take a product with no users and give it a market, a roadmap, and momentum.

Why this is one of the best seats, period

The product is built and nobody has used it yet. You get to decide who it is for. If "where is the market" is the question you find most interesting, this is the seat.
